Cultivating Beauty Locally, Sharing Hope Globally
At Lilias Flower Farm, we believe that beauty is more than decoration—it’s nourishment for the soul. What began as a one-woman flower farm in Rostrevor has blossomed into a mission-driven, husband-and-wife business based in Newcastle, County Down. Nestled between the Mourne Mountains and the Irish Sea, we grow sustainable, seasonal flowers that bring joy, healing, and connection—one bouquet at a time.
Our Roots: A Local Flower Farm with a Purpose
Our flower farm and gardens are designed not just to grow flowers, but to cultivate life. We follow organic, sustainable, and no-dig farming practices that nourish soil health and encourage biodiversity. Bees, songbirds, and earthworms thrive here, and we view that as a sign of health and hope.
Each flower we grow is carefully tended to ensure vibrancy and longevity. Every bouquet we create is a celebration of the seasons and the natural beauty that surrounds us. But our mission extends beyond the field—we share flowers with those experiencing grief, depression, or illness in our local community, offering comfort through the gentle power of nature.
A Sanctuary for the Soul
Our farm is more than a growing space—it’s a haven. We’ve cultivated a garden environment where visitors can rest, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and the land. It’s a space of renewal, where flowers and birdsong remind us of the quiet strength found in stillness and natural beauty.
In the near future, we envision expanding our space to host therapeutic retreats for individuals and groups—offering an escape into peace, healing, and restoration.
From County Down to the Congo: Beauty with Global Impact
We believe that true beauty uplifts everyone it touches. That’s why our mission doesn’t stop at the garden gate. 100% of our profits go toward funding business training programs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), empowering men and women to build sustainable livelihoods.
But we go deeper than economics. Many individuals in the DRC have experienced profound trauma, poverty, and systemic abuse. In response, we support comprehensive trauma healing initiatives—helping people rebuild their lives with resilience, dignity, and hope. This holistic approach ensures that while we foster economic growth, we also nurture emotional well-being and long-term healing.
Why We Do What We Do
Whether it’s delivering a bouquet to someone navigating loss or planting seeds in a war-torn region, our work is rooted in love. We believe that beauty—real, natural, and deeply human—has the power to transform. And we are committed to making that transformation possible for as many people as we can, near and far.
